It is possible to adjust the laser settings in power, wavelength, and pulse length, thereby controlling the amount of material removed by a single laser pulse with extreme precision. Laser cleaning is therefore equally suitable for fast and deep rust removal as well as for only removing a thin layer of material without damaging the underlying surface.
The result is a clean surface that has not been damaged by either chemicals or grinding. This means that you can more easily maintain your surfaces, machines, etc., as the laser spares the existing substrate.
